Artist Statement

Being content with pursuing one goal, one style, and one project has never been my ouvre; this portfolio collection displays that clearly. One day I’m collaging, the next day I’m stuck in a rut, and the very next, I’ve created my best digital work yet. This rollercoaster of inspiration and utter artblock sounds just as it is: a double-edged sword. However, thanks to my miraculous incapability of sticking with one thing for more than a week, I’ve managed to produce posters and art of incredible variance, allowing me to explore what I can do: everything and anything.

Artist Biography

Sylvie B was born in Maryland, 2003, but considers herself to be from Tennessee. When it comes to her art, she enjoys playing into both parts of her heritage: Filipino-Chinese and Southern white. Her art mainly revolves around the colorful worlds and galaxies in her brain and in her writing: demons, monsters, gods, and humans all appear from her mind to the paper. She is not currently pursuing art in any professional manner, merely for the pure enjoyment of creating.
