This year I worked mainly with acrylic paint and linocut prints, making sure to expand to a few collages to expand my medium use. I also consciously tried not to shy away from larger paintings and even a landscape painting that tested my approach as an artist. A majority of my work features a heavy use of color and sometimes unconventional shadowing to show the beauty of the natural world. I focus largely on painting and making prints of florals because few things make me happier in the world than flowers. I also enjoy exploring other aspects of the natural world, such as sunsets and mountain views, as I believe that there is nothing more beautiful than the Blue Ridge Mountains and the surrounding natural features.
