School (and life) can obviously be pretty stressful. During these stressful times, photography feels like an escape for me–being outside with tiny, adorable, and unique little insects and spiders and not having to worry about anything other than your subject. I try to incorporate my emotions into my images in one way or another or what makes each animal unique!
Black Widow :
One of my most sought after spiders to photograph was the black widow. These four photos feature a northern black widow which I found hanging out by my house that I was very, very happy to be able to get the chance to photograph!

Spiders/Insects in Another World:
This was all about making photos of spiders and insects that looked as if they are in another world–with unique backgrounds compared to my usual photos.

Spider Webs:
A collection of spiders and their webs! One of the defining characteristics of a spider is its ability to make silk, so I wanted to show off how beautiful and different their webs can be!

Pose for the Camera!
This is all about spiders posing in funny, cute, or unique ways!

Dragonflies:
(Uhh don’t tell Dr. Johnson, but I wasn’t actually supposed to print these though I kind of did anyways)
I went to Lewis and Ginter a few days before the show to get these. Dragonflies are so interesting and I have wanted to photograph them for a while–especially their poses when they land to take a break on plants.

Bonus photos which were too small to print:
