I’m Quinn, a 15-year-old Renaissance sophomore from Utah. I’ve been making art all my life, from mandalas to figure drawings. This year I explored how I can incorporate 3D aspects into my art. Playing with textures and depth while using more familiar tools like paint has helped me expand my tool kit and opened a new world of artistic possibilities. Though I did not go into this project with a singular theme for my pieces, I found patterns within my art and leaned into them. My art is very open to interpretation, but to me, they are about self-expression, my relationship to traditional femininity, and gender.
