This year my goal was to focus on art projects surrounding music, and the album that I’m in the process of creating. I wanted to make music videos to accompany my songs, and cover art for the album. After creating my first music video, I learned a lot from the process. I am currently working on the second music video which is very different, but I can use the skills I have already picked up. I have gone through many drafts and ideas for album art, and finally landed on a central idea.

This year I experimented with different types of photography. Here are some examples.

I also played around with watercolor, and added another element with sharpie on top.

Abbey Ellerglick is an artist based in Charlottesville Virginia. Throughout her life she has focused primarily on realistic portraits. This has stemmed from her fascination with people and relationships as well as reality versus fantasy. She has always been perceptive, detail-oriented, and from a young age had an ability to watch and study people, seeking to understand the human experience. Her passions include music, art, social and racial justice, politics, and feminism, among many others. Abbey works to combine multiple aspects of her passions in her creations. She hopes to expand her art beyond realism and dive into new realms.
