Io is currently a junior at Renaissance School. They were born in the Charlottesville area, and have lived here their entire life. They spend most of their free time on art, and they especially love mecha and the sci-fi genre, which is the category most of their art falls into.
Io’s work this year was primarily digital, both within the realms of digital drawing and 3D modelling. Their artwork didn’t follow much of a theme, and most of what’s shown here is miscellaneous work created through the course of the year. Featured as well are some of the 3D models they’ve created for their junior year Independent Study project.
GATEWAY, CRAG FIELDS, CITADEL, and HOLY FLAME
These are digital works I made near the end of 2023. They all follow a similar aesthetic, but they’re not really meant to be connected outside of that, and there’s not much of a story behind any of them. They were mostly created just to aimlessly experiment with more limited colour palettes.

KRÄHE, GEIER, and SPATZ
These were characters I made based off of the video game SIGNALIS, and more specifically, the game’s biomechanical artificial humans known as Replikas. These are low-resolution renders of digital 3D models with hand-drawn textures, which were then imported into Clip Studio Paint to add the weathering, logos, and text. These were a ton of fun to make- it was the first time I had combined 2D and 3D work in such a manner.

BLOOD & METAL 3D Models
My Independent Study project this year was Blood & Metal, a large-scale open-ended setting and worldbuilding project. Shown here are four designs from the world of Blood & Metal. These are also digital 3D models, though more in-line with my typical visual style than the previous ones.
