This is an exhibit of my artistic work in fashion and faces. This year I took the approach of simply “doing what I felt like doing” and it resulted in the exploration of a wide array of mediums. I have used oil and acrylic paints, embroidery, photography, studs, patterned fabric and beads. Although I found joy in expressing my style through canvas- the majority of my work consists of thrifted clothing, rebranded by my own creations. I design pieces that I will wear myself, pieces that make me feel self-confident, fearless.

BIOGRAPHY
Elsa Ferguson is a Senior at Renaissance School. Her creativity was fostered at a young age at the Waldorf school where she learned how to connect with nature by building homes for fairies and painting all the colors in the sky. Her artistic style is very influenced by her natural surroundings, producing soft colored pieces of work with blooming details, though just like the seasons, her style is not fixed. Elsa enjoys multimedia art, creating layers, depth, and texture in her work. She is often restless and finds clarity by taking scissors to her clothing, while contemplating discount plane tickets to France. She loves dancing to live music, and comfortable silence. She lives in Charlottesville, VA with her Mom, three older brothers and three wiener dogs. She will be pursuing her passion for Art and Women’s Rights at Barnard College of Columbia next year.
